How to use “Watermark PDF”
- Add the PDF you want to watermark.
- Choose a text watermark (for example “CONFIDENTIAL” or “COPY”) or upload your logo.
- Adjust opacity, rotation, size and whether it is centered or tiled: the preview shows the result.
- Click “Add watermark” and download the PDF.
Precise vector overlay
The watermark is drawn over each page with real PDF transparency: the watermark text is vector-based and sharp at any zoom, and the logo is embedded only once even if it appears on every page, so the file doesn’t balloon. The original content isn’t touched and its text stays selectable. Bear in mind that a watermark deters, but doesn’t stop someone with a PDF editor from removing it.
Are my files uploaded?
No. ShiftAny Files processes your files directly on your device: this tool runs in your browser and never sends your files to any server.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my logo?
Yes. Choose “Image” and upload a PNG or JPG up to 10 MB. A PNG with transparency works best, because only the logo artwork shows.
What’s the difference between “Centered” and “Tiled”?
“Centered” places a single mark in the middle of each page. “Tiled” repeats it in a grid covering the whole page, which is harder to crop out.
Does the watermark hide the content?
With a low opacity (between 15% and 35%) the document stays perfectly readable. The preview shows you how it will look before the PDF is generated.
Does it support accents and special characters?
Yes: accented letters (é, ü, ñ, ç), numbers and common symbols. Emoji and non-Latin scripts (such as Chinese or Arabic) can’t be used in the watermark text.
