How to use “PDF to PNG”
- Add the PDF whose pages you want as PNG.

- Click “Convert to PNG”.
- Download the PNGs one by one or all together in a ZIP.
Lossless PNG with transparency
PNG stores the image with no loss of quality: text edges and lines stay crisp, without JPG artifacts. With “Transparent”, whatever the page doesn’t paint has no background, ideal for cutting out logos, signatures or diagrams; with “White”, the page looks just like in the PDF. In exchange, PNGs are heavier than JPGs, especially on pages with photos: for those, “PDF to JPG” is the better choice.
Are my files uploaded?
No. ShiftAny Files processes your files directly on your device: this tool runs in your browser and never sends your files to any server.
Frequently asked questions
PNG or JPG?
PNG for text, graphics and diagrams (maximum sharpness and transparency); JPG for pages with photos, because it takes up much less space.
Why does my transparent PNG look black?
Some viewers display transparency over a dark background. The image is fine; if you prefer it opaque, choose the “White” background.
What is the transparent background for?
To reuse logos, stamps or diagrams on another background (a presentation, a website) without the white rectangle of the page. Only what the PDF doesn’t paint becomes transparent: if the page has a colored background or is a scan, that background stays.
