One image per page
Each page is rendered with the same engine Firefox uses to display PDFs and saved as a JPG on a white background, at high quality (92%) by default. At 150 DPI an A4 page is about 1240 × 1754 pixels, enough for screens and home printing; at 300 DPI, twice as large on each side, for professional print. It never exports below 150 DPI, so text doesn’t come out blurry. Images are named after their page number so they keep their order.
Are my files uploaded?
No. ShiftAny Files processes your files directly on your device: this tool runs in your browser and never sends your files to any server.
Frequently asked questions
Which resolution should I choose?
150 DPI to view on screen, send by email or print at home; 200 DPI if you want a bit more detail; 300 DPI for professional-quality printing or to zoom into details.
Can I download all the pages at once?
Yes. If the PDF has several pages, you can download each image separately or all of them together in a ZIP file.
Does it work with protected PDFs?
If the PDF asks for a password to open, remove it first with “Unlock PDF”.
Can the text in the images be copied?
No. A JPG is an image: the text is drawn into it, not selectable.
